U.S. Secretary of Energy Perry and President Andrzej Duda Will Tour Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal

On Friday, June 14, 2019 U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and Poland’s President Andrzej Duda will travel to Louisiana to tour Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal. The two leaders will also hold a bilateral meeting to discuss opportunities to bolster U.S.-Poland energy cooperation. Following the tour of the LNG export facility President Duda and Secretary Perry will hold a press conference.

The two countries have launched the U.S.-Poland Strategic Energy Dialogue which fosters and supports energy partnerships with Poland. In the past year Poland has signed approximately 25 billion dollars in contracts with U.S. firms to buy more than 6 billion cubic meters of American LNG. This week Poland signed another contract for an additional 2 billion cubic meters worthabout 8 billion dollars.
