U.S. DOE March 2023 LNG Monthly Report

The U.S. Department of Energy today released the most recent report of data on vessel-borne U.S. LNG imports, exports of domestically-produced LNG, and re-exports of foreign-sourced LNG. The report included data from February 2016 to January 2023. 


In summary for the report:

Top five countries of destination, representing 58.6% of total U.S. LNG exports in January 2023

1.           United Kingdom (63.0 Bcf)

2.           Turkiye (39.3 Bcf)

3.           Netherlands (36.5 Bcf)

4.           France (34.1 Bcf)

5.           South Korea (24.5 Bcf)


336.9 Bcf of exports in January 2023

•            0.8% increase from December 2022

•            4.7% less than January 2022


102 cargos shipped in January 2023

•            Sabine Pass (41), Cameron (33), Corpus Christi (19), Cove Point (6), Elba Island (3), and Freeport (0)

•            112 cargos in December 2022

•            108 cargos in January 2022
