U.S. Department of Energy January 2019 LNG Data

On March 14th, 2019 the U.S. Department of Energy released their most recent data on vessel-borne exports of domestically-produced LNG. The latest data from the department is for January 2019.

The U.S. Department of Energy reported 37 cargoes were shipped from the U.S. in January 2019. Sabine Pass (28), Cove Point (6), Corpus Christi (3). As a comparison 36 cargoes were shipped in December 2018 and 21 cargoes in January 2018

In total 126.8 Bcf of gas was exported as LNG in January 2019. This is a 3.4% increase over December 2018 and 75.3% more than January 2018

January 2019 top five countries of destination, representing 54.9% of total U.S. LNG exports were Japan (17.5 Bcf), South Korea (17.0 Bcf), Mexico (14.3 Bcf), Italy (10.5), and United Kingdom (10.4 Bcf)
