Tellurian announced today it has entered into four fixed price, lump sum turnkey agreements with Bechtel. The agreements total $15.2 billion for EPC work on the Driftwood LNG project. Driftwood LNG is a proposed U.S. LNG export facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The EPC agreement includes twenty 1.38 mtpa liquefaction units, three 235,000 cubic meter storage tanks and three marine loading berths. Driftwood LNG will be constructed in four phases with each phase beginning operations on a staggered basis.

President and CEO Meg Gentle said, "The agreements with Bechtel guarantee performance and secure the EPC cost of Driftwood LNG at $550 per tonne, one of the lowest-cost liquefaction construction projects worldwide."

Tellurian was founded by Charif Souki and Martin Houston.
