LNG Carrier Diamond Gas Metropolis Delivered
NYK Line has announced the LNG carrier Diamond Gas Metropolis, owned by NYK and the Mitsubishi Corporation, was delivered yesterday. The vessel was built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
The NYK Group will be responsible for ship management. The new ship will transport LNG from the Cameron LNG export terminal in Louisiana as well as other locations around the world. The vessel is under a long-term time-charter contract with Diamond Gas International Pte. Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. NYK and Mitsubishi Corporation both have a stake in the Cameron LNG export facility.
