Corpus Christi Liquefaction July 2018 Monthly Progress Report

Train 1 is projected to achieve substantial completion in the 1st half of 2019 and Train 2 in the 2nd half of 2019. Activities planned for the month of August 2018 are on track.

On August 21st, 2018 Cheniere Energy submitted a monthly progress report to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project (CCL). The report covered activities for the CCL Stage 1 (Trains 1 and 2, Tanks A and C, OSBL, West Jetty and East Jetty Civil Works) and CCL Stage 2 (Train 3, Tank B and East Jetty Topsides) projects that occurred during the month of July 2018.

The report noted Stage 1 Engineering and Procurement are now 100.0% complete. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 78.2% and 80.7% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for Stage 1 is 91.2%. Train 1 is projected to achieve substantial completion in the 1st half of 2019 and Train 2 in the 2nd half of 2019. Stage 2 Engineering is 67.8% complete. Procurement is 48.1% complete. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 3.9% and 3.5% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for Stage 2 is 30.1%.

Stage 1 continued progressing work in pipe completion, testing, restoration, and insulation of critical path systems. Pipe testing is now complete for Train 1. The activities on the refrigeration compressor deck continue to progress with first fires and mechanical runs underway. Major highlights for July included: introduction of nitrogen and first gas into the project. Lighting of the wet flare commenced. Startup fired the thermal oxidizer and cured the refractory. Hot oil loading in Train 1 is complete and cold circulation commenced. Interlock checks required for feed gas introduction commenced and leak check and interlocks for the dry flare are now complete. Construction has turned 202 systems over to Startup through the end of July.

Stage 2 continued site excavation, mudmat placement, placement of concrete foundations and columns/pedestals. Installation of underground high-density polyethylene (“HDPE”) and metallic Amine pipe continued this period. The team commenced installation of Cryo Rack Steel and double jointing of above ground pipe. Major highlights for July included: continued work on Train 3 foundations, columns, and underground pipe installation. LNG Tank B foundation work continued
