Corpus Christi Liquefaction December 2017 Monthly Progress Report

Train 1 is projecting substantial completion for March 2019 and Train 2 is projecting September 2019 for substantial completion. Activities planned for the month of January 2018 are on track.

On January 23rd, 2018 Cheniere Energy submitted a monthly progress report to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project (CCL). The report covers activities for the CCL Stage 1 (Trains 1 and 2, Tanks A and C, OSBL and East Jetty Civil Marine) and CCL Stage 2 (Train 3 and Tank B and East Jetty Topsides) projects that occurred during the month of December 2017.

The report noted Stage 1 Engineering and Procurement are now 100.0%. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 66.2% and 59.2% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for Stage 1 is 77.4% complete against the plan of 81.8%. Train 1 is projecting substantial completion for March 2019 and Train 2 is projecting September 2019 for substantial completion.

Stage 2 Engineering has progressed to 25% complete. Procurement has placed 25 critical purchase orders (POs) through the end of December 2017. Subcontract hires are in place to support Train 3 activities.

Stage 1 Construction continued progressing permanent plant concrete, structural steel, aboveground pipe, electrical, instruments, insulation, equipment installation, East Jetty activities and LNG Tank A and C activities. Mineral lube oil flushes for compressors continued. Major highlights for December included: setting Train 2 filter houses and air coolers, the commencement of riser erection on Flare Derrick structure, the energization of the O&M/Control Room building and Train 1 LNG compressor substation. In addition, the air cooler deliveries were completed for the Inlet Air Chiller area. Construction has turned 55 systems over to Startup through the end of December, 3 systems ahead of the scheduled turnover skyline.

Stage 2 Construction mobilized equipment, cleared the Train 3 area, and commenced site work and site drainage activities.
