Cheniere Makes Positive Final Investment Decision on Train 3 at the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project

Cheniere Energy, Inc. announced today a positive final investment decision for Train 3 at Cheniere’s Corpus Christi liquefaction project. The company plans to issue a full notice to proceed to Bechtel to continue construction which began in late 2017 under limited notice to proceed.

The Corpus Christi liquefaction project is a three Train project under construction near Corpus Christi, Texas. Each Train is expected to have a nominal production capacity of approximately 4.5 mtpa of LNG.

We continue to see significant tailwinds in the global LNG market and look forward to delivering additional growth and value to shareholders.”

The Corpus Christi liquefaction projectTrains 1 and 2 are 85.7% complete overall and have target in-service dates of 1H 2019 and 2H 2019, respectively.
