Two example installations are shown below. These MiniLNG plants are designed, constructed, installed, and commissioned completely by WSCE as a “turnkey delivery.” The lead time for the MiniLNG-1 plant equipment is four months from the contract date.

Case 1: WSCE-MiniLNG-1 Site in Plant at the Natural Gas Well Shenmu

Mini LNG Plant

Equipment installed at Shenmu above is the standard package of WSCE-MiniLNG-1. The capacity is 4,000 US gallons per day, or 7.5 metric tons per day, or 16 cubic meters liquid per day. It produces 52.5 ton/week of LNG, or 225 ton/month, or 2500 ton/year. 

Standard MiniLNG-1 plant is composed of 10 containerized units:

5)Mixed Refrigerant and MDEA Storage Unit

The plant site area required by Code NFPA 59A is 1500 square meters. All powered equipment such as compressors and electric generators are air-cooled.  All equipment units are tested in-house before shipping out to the well site. Plant installation on site is limited to the flange connections. There is very limited welding work required during installation on site. The plant setup time on site is two weeks plus two weeks commissioning towards production of LNG. 

The major maintenance work needed will be scheduled compressor spare parts replacing every 5000 hours.  That maintenance takes a week at most.  MDEA and molecular sieve change schedule is every two or three years depending on feed gas composition.  The plant is controlled by the DCS/ESD system and is highly automated. Once the plant has started, it is not necessary to be continuously manned on site during the normal operation. The control and monitoring of the plant operation can be remote. Two or three operators can run the plant.


Case 2: WSCE-MiniLNG-1 Plant at the LNG Truck Fueling Station in Wuhai

Equipment installed at Wuhai is also the standard package of WSCE-MiniLNG-1. The same as that in Case 1 above.  The liquefaction plant in Wuhai is exactly same as that in Shenmu. For truck fueling, two units are added to the liquefaction plant,  the “LNGV Tank and Pump Unit” and “Fueling and Metering Unit”. 

The capacity is 4,000 US gallons per day, or 7.5 metric tons per day, or 16 cubic meters liquid per day. The daily produced LNG by the plant can support 40 heavy trucks with each truck fueled 400 liters/day, or 80 medium size trucks at 200 liters/day. 

The MiniLNG-1 with truck fueling units is composed of 12 containerized units:

The plant site area required by Code NFPA 59A is 3000 square meters including truck fueling circle.  All maintenance is similar to the MiniLNG-1 Site in Plant at the Natural Gas Well Shenmu above.
