Utah's Second LNG Station in Full Operation

September 6th, 2012 - BLU (Transfuels LLC) in partnership with the Utah Clean Cities Coalition held the grand opening of Utah's second LNG fueling station in Beaver, Utah this past Thursday, August 30, 2012. The station has been fully operational since August 3, 2012. The Beaver location represents the last critical link in the longest LNG transportation corridor in the United States. Class 7 and 8 heavy duty trucks can now operate on this 700 mile corridor between Salt Lake City, Utah and Los Angeles, California with public freeway access to LNG every 200 to 250 miles.

The new station is located immediately off Interstate 15 freeway exit 109. The station will be open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and will accept all major fleet fueling cards as well as consumer credit cards.

BLU is working to provide the national infrastructure that will allow U.S. trucking fleets to utilize Natural Gas, a clean, low cost abundant fuel source, that will significantly decrease our Nation's dependence on foreign oil. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is simply natural gas that has been cooled to about -260 oF, and can be stored at high densities as a vehicle fuel for heavy-duty trucks.

In addition to its flagship station in Salt Lake City and the newly opened Beaver station, BLU currently has two additional sites under construction in Utah that will be operational within the next 60 days. The first is conveniently located off I-215 and California Ave in Salt Lake City, and the second is strategically located in the Uintah Basin at Myton, Utah. All four LNG stations will serve the transportation industry and expand the BLU network of retail facilities.
