August 22nd, 2012 - As the shale industry continues to shift and evolve in the US and internationally, interest from around the world remains strong in development of shale gas and shale oil. The impact of the shale revolution has been far reaching with the market impacts being felt across the value chain.
The 3rd Annual World Shale Oil & Gas Summit and Awards, taking place on the 18-21 September in Houston USA, will focus on providing in-depth critical insights into the challenges and opportunities across the shale oil and gas value chain.
Key programme topics of discussion will include analysis of the drivers and impacts of the upstream shift from gas to liquids in the US, as well as a look at the international development opportunities with a keynote address from Guillermo Garcia Alcocer, Director General of Exploration and Exploitation of Hydrocarbons for Mexico’s Secretaria de Energia. Experts will also discuss opportunities for gas monetization through XTL, petrochemicals and utilities, with Davis Thames, President, Cheniere Marketing LLC providing an update on Cheniere’s US LNG export plans.
The programme will also cover issues around regulation and environmental concerns world-wide, with talks from the American Petroleum Institute, China’s Ministry of Land and Resources, and the US Department of Energy.
